Research Experiences

Deciphering the (ultra)-structural organization of the Golgi ribbon (Ph.D. Thesis Project) Institute of Genetic and of Cellular and Molecular Biology (IGBMC) / December 2023 to present - I visualize the (ultra-)structural organization of the Golgi ribbon and the associated cytoskeleton to further our understanding of their contribution to protein modification and cell polarity. To characterize the native architecture of the Golgi complex in mammalian cells, I employ FIB-milling, cryo-ET, ultrastructural analysis building on automated segmentation and vectorization, and subtomogram averaging for determining structures of abundant organizers.

Understanding the role of Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3ß on invasion and metastasis in Wnt singling pathway and its chemosensitivity to Doxorubicin in MDA-MB-231 Breast cancer cells (M.Sc. Thesis Project) Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) / February 2021- September 2022 -I performed cloning, mammalian cell transfection, and molecular techniques to make a stable GSK3β over-expressed cell line. Then I studied the shape and dynamic of the cell by microscopy and invasion assays. After that, I tried to study survival, death, and growth rate during the cell cycle by flow cytometry and apoptosis assays. In the end by Python programming language and Excel, I analyzed my images, data, and statistics. My findings suggest GSK3β as an anti-metastatic agent by reversing EMT which is effective for the treatment of TNBC and by sensitizing resistant cancer cells to doxorubicin, it prevents the repair of the damage caused by the drug.
